Kaz was born and raised in Vancouver before being interned in Grand Forks during the war. After the war, he relocated to Vancouver with his family. He is survived by his siblings Yoshio, Fumiko (Masaji), Shizuko, Misao and Yukiko. Kaz is predeceased by father (Kozo), mother (Tome) and sister (Meiko). The family expresses deep gratitude to Dr. Timothy Teoh, Nikoniko Home Care, Three Bridges, Crofton Manor and the countless medical professionals who helped Kaz during his lifetime of 97 years. The family is so appreciative of the support from family and friends.
