

Kenneth Kin Wah Tham, 64, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2016. Kenny, as he was often called, was born on October 17, 1951 in Calcutta, India, the eldest of four children of Tham Hok Leng and Yee Nean Oi. He immigrated to Vancouver, Canada in November 1972 where he continued to build his craft in carpentry ultimately leading to a 40-year career as a joiner and member of the Marine Workers and Boilermakers Union.
Kenny was a dedicated husband, caring father, son and brother and in recent years became a grandfather of three boys. Kenny appreciated and valued his family first and foremost and worked tirelessly to provide for them. He was easy-going, kind-hearted and really enjoyed connecting and socializing with his friends and family. He loved to travel - having visited many countries around the world over his lifetime.
Kenny is survived by his loving family: wife, Queenie; two children, Christopher and Elaine; daughter-in-law, Bonnie; son-in-law, Richard; grandchildren, Skyler, Cory and Harrison; mother, Yee Nean Oi; and three brothers, Anthony, William and Thomas. He will be so dearly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, where a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 12:00 pm. This will be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Jude Catholic Church, 3078 Renfrew Street, Vancouver, BC at 1:45 pm. Cremation will follow at Vancouver Crematorium, 5505 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC.
