Mrs. Konstantina Kouris

Dina was born on January 9, 1926 in Xirokambi, Lakonia, Greece. She was the oldest of four children. She was married to her husband Gus for 65 years (passed away in 2013).

She is survived by her sons Angelo (Genie), Peter (Marina), grandchildren Dean (Olga), Kimon (Diana), Stephanie (Loukas), and Deanna. Her six great grandchildren Evvie, Maria, Sophia, Angelo, Eva and Lucca.

Her sister Christina (Petros), brother George, nieces and nephews.

Konstantina was born in Xirokampi where she met and married Kosta and they started their family. They immigrated to Canada in 1962 where they worked tirelessly side by side operating Pharos Pizza. Konstantina deeply followed the traditions of her Greek Orthodox faith, and was a consummate cook. Her greatest joy was caring for her family, and her devotion will be remembered.

Prayers will be held on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019 at 7:00 pm at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4500 Arbutus Street, Vancouver, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 24th at 11:00 am. Father Odisseys Drossos officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. George’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral would be appreciated.
