I’m Larry’s sister,Larry wasn’t around much ,he loved to travel,and go to where the jobs were.We didn’t see him much ,but when we needed him he was there.The last time I saw Larry was in Windsor ,he came to help with our sister ,I never thought that would be the last time I saw him .I will treasure  the stories he told me about travels with Sylvia,or school.I will miss him so ,Love you Larry, until we meet again .

I’ll never forget fourth grade, when Ms. Seto was my teacher. I spent a lot of afternoons in her classroom—not because I was trying to be helpful, but because I hadn’t done my homework and, honestly, didn’t care much for math at the time.

But every day after school, without fail, Larry was there too. Not because he had to be—but because he wanted to be. Because he loved her.

Even as a kid, I noticed. I saw the way he showed up for her, the quiet strength and unwavering support he offered. That kind of love stays with you—it teaches you something before you even know you’re learning it.

Larry left a lasting impression on me. He showed me, even then, that when a man treats you with kindness, patience, and respect, there’s nothing more powerful.

His love for Ms. Seto was gentle, constant, and deeply inspiring. I’m so grateful to have witnessed even a small piece of that. He will be missed dearly.

Larry was the sweetest man. A cheerful character with a smile and humor that'd light up the room he was in. He would come by and visit my 4th grade classroom, taught by the kindest teacher, Ms. Seto, who is also his loving wife. I wish we had spoken more often and wish that he could see how I've grown up since then. All my love to Larry, Sylvia, and the family.

My Deepest Condolences 🙏🏾 to You my dear friend  with the Loss of Your Beloved Husband and Best Friend Larry.  I met Larry who came to see his sister Dianne who sadly passed while he was here. Through meeting Larry,  you and I became good friend's  which I am grateful for. I Believe Larry is at your side and watching over you. If you want to talk anytime never hesitate to call me. I am so sorry to hear about Larry’s passing. It was truly an honor to care for him and to get to know both of you during his time with us.  Please know that my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

It is with profound sadness that I learn of the passing of my dear 
childhood friend Larry Menard.
Having known Larry for 68 years, many fond memories come to mind, too many to mention.
Here we are, in a blink of an eye and Larry has gone to get his well deserved reward for a life well lived.

Dear Larry, 

You were so loved by so many people, especially your loving wife, Sylvia Seto. You were loved in so many different ways. I’ll miss the smile on your face, your presence, and humour. You were a true warrior all along. Gone too soon. You’ll be dearly never forgotten and missed. 

To Sylvia, I give her all the praise for going above and beyond to care for you, support you, never giving up and the resilience she had and continuous to have from her big loving heart.

So sorry for your loss. Larry was a wonderful husband and our good friend.  We were lucky to have had him in our lives. We have many good memories. We shared lots of laughs and a few tears and most importantly a great friendship. He will be missed.

I would also like to add a few of my favorite moments with Larry;
1 .  Dancing on the dance floor at the Italian Cultural Center to music from the 60’s and 70’s
2. Our Hastings Street encounters , such as buying those amazing cinnamon buns at our favorite family run bakery ( but only at 12:30 when they were fresh
3. After retirement, I saw Larry more than Sylvia as we often crossed paths on Hastings Street ( London Drugs, Donald’s Market to name a few)
4  Listening for hours when you came for dinner as you recanted your days as a DJ in Quebec and Northern B.C.,  teaching at High School and your favorite classes 
5.  Your perspective on how you met and won over Sylvia 
Always remembered and never forgotten

I will miss those moments when I walk by your house and see you sitting in your favorite chair as you contemplate the the worlds events 
Your calm, soothing voice and pleasant demeanor as well as your perspectives on the various issues of the day were always appreciated 
Dancing to songs like ‘Runaround Sue’ at our wedding celebration at the Italian Cultural Centre will always bring a smile to my face

Larry was eyes on the street. Reporting, waving and greeting to all of us neighbours. He was our beacon and we all miss his presence.
