Hello family, loved ones and friends, it is with deep emotional regret, that I share this post. Leonard, began his journey to the Spirit World, early Wednesday morning, June 14, 2023. Together, Leonard and Diane, brought their three sons into the world. ‘His Eldest Son, Stacey Bowers in Edmonton AB, his son, Jeff Bowers in Fisher River MB, and his youngest son, Leon Bowers in Vancouver BC. All of their sons cherished their dad and saw him as their personal hero.
Leonard had the privilege to have his sons, sire children, giving him several grandchildren and great grandchildren. As each family member were introduced to their growing little clan, both Leonard and Diane beamed with pride.
Leonard is survived by his siblings who all respected and loved their brother. Among the many nieces and nephews, their children, and their children’s children, not to forget surviving Aunts and Uncles, cousins and friends, Leonard will be missed by many.
At this time, I would like to personally thank, on behalf of the family, the amazing doctors, nurses and medical team at Vancouver General Hospital, that provide such excellent care during Leonard’s final days to help him remain comfortable. Serge, you’re number one in my mind. Your attention to detail explaining all that was happening after conferring with the doctors and nurses.
I would also like to thank Lisa Bowers, Leonard’s niece, for being there continually to ensure Uncle was looked after with family loving care. You amaze me with your kindness and your determination to make sure Uncle was not forgotten, when things needed doing.
