Lesley Diane Armstrong (nee Scott), age 74, passed away peacefully at Salvation Army Rotary Hospice in Richmond, B.C. on Friday, November 13, 2020 after a short but courageous battle with abdominal cancer.
Born in Chilliwack, B.C. on February 18, 1946 (the first daughter of Bruce and Nancy Scott), she grew up on the North Shore. After graduating from West Vancouver High School, she briefly attended the University of British Columbia before she began a career in bookkeeping, which she enjoyed until retirement in her early 70s.
She was a devoted and doting mother and grandmother, a supporter of the performing arts including as a volunteer with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and an avid Canadian Football League fan. She enjoyed trips to San Diego and Paris, and frequent trips to Reno. She was a follower of the psychic Sylvia Browne and her Society of Novus Spiritus.
Lesley is survived by her son Kenneth, his wife Christina and their children, her son Scott and his children with Adele, her son Steven and his children with Jennifer, her step-mother Charlotte, her sisters Valerie and Marilyn, her brother Robert (“Bob”), and her many nieces and nephews.
As Lesley requested there not be a funeral service, the family will grieve privately.
In lieu of flowers, the children suggest a donation to the Salvation Army Rotary Hospice in Richmond BC or the Richmond Hospital Foundation.
