Maurice Jean Henry was a gentle soul with a kind heart and a quiet way of showing care. He never needed attention and never asked for it — instead, he gave love in simple, steady ways that left a lasting mark. Whether he was playing his guitar or fiddle, sharing a meal, or sitting comfortably among family, he brought warmth and ease to any room. His presence felt safe, familiar, and grounding. The memories of his music, his humour, and the roots he carried from his past will continue to live on through the stories we share.
He leaves behind a family who will forever hold him close — not just in memory, but in the way we gather, support one another, and continue the traditions that meant so much to him. His love was quiet but powerful, shown more through actions than words. We will remember him for his gentle heart, his patience, and the comfort he brought simply by being himself. Though we feel his loss deeply, we are grateful for the time we had and the love he gave so freely.
Always loved. Forever remembered.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
