

June 13, 1941 -- July 15, 2011
After a brave fight with kidney disease and diabetes, Mike quietly passed away on the evening of July 15, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne, son, Doug (Aurora), grandson, Logan Michael, sister, Jean Millar (Hugh), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike will be remembered for his lively personality and sense of humour. He was an avid athlete. As a teenager he toured England playing cricket and as an adult he captained the Canadian Cricket Team. He was captain of the West Vancouver Cricket Team for numerous years, coached various men’s and boys sports and played many including golf, squash, soccer, and rugby. Mike graduated from UBC with a BA and was a member of the Psi Upsilon fraternity. A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 26 at First Memorial Funeral Home, 602 Kingsway, Vancouver, BC. Go to www.mem.com to share a memory.
