

Minh was born in Rach Gia, Vietnam on May 26, 1938. As a strong, kind and loving mother and grandmother, she has cared for many people throughout her life and will be greatly missed.
Minh led a brave and adventurous life, filled with many new beginnings. She led her family from Vietnam and started a new life by braving the cold winters of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec. When she had enough of the snow, she moved her family across the country to settle in Vancouver, BC.
She was a devoted member of the Universal Buddhist Temple, volunteering her time every Sunday and enjoyed traveling with other members of the congregation.
Minh Chiem is survived by 2 siblings, 5 children, and 10 grandchildren.
Viewing for family and friends will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Glenhaven. The burial service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC.
Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at the service. Donations will be evenly forwarded to St Michaels Hospice and the Universal Buddhist Temple.
