Ng Kam Chang passed peacefully away on a Saturday afternoon on 22 December 2012. She lived her life with resourcefulness, diligence and determination. Her spirit lives on in her children and grandchildren.
Her story began in Fuchong, China on 20 June 1912. She was the oldest of 3 children. She passed away in Renfrew Care Center after living there for more than 10 years, most of which were spent in good health and mental alertness.
Major landmarks in her adult life included getting married at age 19, in 1931 to Chang Yow Tim. They had their first child, Evelyn Yuk Keung Chan in 1936, their second child, Dennis Yoke Chew Cheng in 1947 and their third child, Carolyn Yoke Lin Yip in 1949. She is pre-deceased by her husband in 1974 and her son in 1972. She is survived by: her 2 daughters, Evelyn and Carolyn; her grandson, Lauren and her 3 granddaughters Livia, Shannon and Alicia.
