Parmjit was born on January 20th, 1950 in Punjab, India and moved to Canada in 1969 with his siblings and parents. Parmjit was a dedicated educator who had a passion for teaching and learning. His 42-year-long career as a teacher, and later a principal, spanned from Prince Rupert to Ladysmith, B.C. Along the way, Parmjit met lifelong friends and his beautiful wife, Satinder, whom he was married to for 42 years. They went on to have two sons and a daughter.
Upon retirement, Parmjit spent time doing what he loved most: a long walk to Ambleside, golfing with friends, and reading the latest James A. Michener novel with a glass of Syrah.
Parmjit will be remembered as an incredibly loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
A visitation for Parmjit will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home.
