Paul was born at the Calgary General Hospital on April 8, 1965. He was a big baby 9 lbs 6 oz. He had some breathing issues so was in the NICU for over a week. He was an engaging and happy youngster who was often found snoozing with our Coscker Spaniel Sandy. As the youngest of 4 he was pampered and very verbal from a young age. He had great language skills his entire life.
Paul moved to Salmon Arm with his parents in 1979 and graduated from Salmon Arm Senior Secondary School in 1979. He served in the Rocky Mountain Rangers in the early 80's with his good friends Rob Isaac and Rod Baird. He attended the presentation of Regimental Colours by Prince Philip in March of 1983. He had a lifelong interest in history and the military and was very well read in those areas.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed all the boating, fishing and hunting that the area could offer. He was a big sports fan and a staunch supporter of the Canadian Football League often attending the Grey Cup when it was held out west. He watched the Blue Jay through this season and would have been thrilled to see them go to the World Series.
He came down to Vancouver for many holiday and family celebrations. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and their children as they came along.
Paul is survived by his sister Colleen, brother Brian Angus (Jonathan), brother-in-law Lyall, nieces Megan and Gillian, nephews (Geoffrey (Peggy), Bradley (Faith), great niece Kaitly and great nephew Owen.
Many friends and family will miss him.
