

His wife Yvette and son Tony by his beside, he was born in Malamata, Greece, son of George and Vasiliki Taraviras, he immigrated to Canada in 1953, Peter married Yvette in 1963 they are proud parents of two sons, Tony and Peter Jr. Lived and worked in the USA for ten years. His passion in life was the restaurant business. He returned in 1974, built and sold a few restaurants. He was always proud to say that he was the first person to have a taco and burrito on his Menu, in those day’s it was a rare item on menus in B.C. Among Peter’s favorite memories were the many family vacations spent in Canada, and throughout the USA. Proud to be a Silver Member of Cunard World Club and his travels through Europe, destination to his Home Country of Greece. Panagiotis was predeceased by his Beloved son Peter Jr. Year (2000) and Siblings, John, Jim, Tommy. He is survived by his brothers Steve (Ria), Gus (Anna), Terry (Kalliope) and sister in-law Kula and sister Axani. And numerous in-laws nieces and nephews. Peters gift to all of us is a vast trove of hilarious stories, of various adventures and misadventures. A private Service for immediate family will be held on Monday, June 7th at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church 4500 Arbutus St. Vancouver B.C. Rev Nikolaos Sideras officiating. Entombment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Burnaby, B.C. Celebration of Life will take place when it is safe for family and friends to get together.
