Born in China, Shun Wei served her country as a pharmacist in the Chinese army. She was well-respected and led a Chinese pharmaceutical trade organization. She and her beloved husband endured great hardship during the Cultural Revolution, including a period of imprisonment, yet together they persevered with strength and dignity.
In 1989, Shun Wei immigrated to Canada, where she began a new chapter surrounded by family. She lived with her eldest son and his family for decades, becoming the heart of the household and a guiding presence in the life of her grandson. She also cherished her visits to California, where she spent meaningful time with her younger son and his family.
Shun Wei will be remembered as an incredible woman—steadfast wife, loving mother, and devoted grandmother. Her legacy of courage, sacrifice, and care lives on through her family, who will carry her memory in their hearts always.
