Suey Chow Wong

It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Wong, Suey Chow on Saturday April 26th 2025 in Vancouver, BC. Wong Suey Chow was born on October 14th, 1937 to Wong So and Ko Pui Ying in Cheurng Zhou, Zhongshan, China.

At the age of 17 he came to Canada and worked at MacMillan Bloedel sawmill in Port Alberni, BC. He married Lee Sin Yung on Christmas Day in 1957. They were the proud parents to Sonny, Ellen (Paul) and Allan (Shirley). He was a proud grandfather to Bennett, Cameron (Lea), Elizabeth (Vince), Lindsay (Alex), Andrea (Rojenski), and Liam. He lovingly named his new born great granddaughter Sienna.

Wong Suey Chow was a strong man who built 4 family homes, lived to eat and loved to share a variety of his favourite foods, took his family fishing and travelled together. He is a man that will be fondly remembered by those who knew him.

Please join the family for funeral services at Mount Pleasant Universal Funeral Home at 306 East 11th Ave (crossroad Kingsway) in Vancouver, BC on Thursday May 8th, 2025 at 11:30 am. Interment at 1:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Burnaby.
