Ugo Lepore

It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that we announce the passing of a kind, gentle soul - our beloved Ugo Lepore. After a hard and valiant fight, Ugo succumbed to his illness on January 18th, 2024 at Burnaby Hospital. From the time he was diagnosed with cancer 16 months ago, he fought with courage, dignity and humour.

Ugo was born in Prata, Italy on March 2, 1959. He is predeceased by his father Armando, his mother Maria, and brother Peter. He is survived by his loving wife, Heather, and his son, Brandon. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sister;Carmine, Teresa (David) and Ben (Clara); nieces and nephew, Michelle (Gordon), Kevin and Francesca; grandnieces, Adaline and Julia and his many friends.

Ugo was an avid sports enthusiast. He played golf with family and friends and he enjoyed football. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboy fan until the very end. His entrepreneurial drive led to a career in the ticket broker industry where he was well respected and developed lifelong friendships. His beloved dog, Xander meant the world to him and he indulged him with endless belly rubs and hand fed meals. He was passionate about traveling and exploring the world. In Heather, he found a soulmate who shared the same passion. Together they had many travel adventures and experiences over the last 17 years. They were often joined by family and friends. Nothing was more important to Ugo than his love for his family and friends. Ugo will be fondly remembered for his compassionate and generous ways. He filled our lives with love, laughter and kindness.

Your heart stopped beating, but you will forever remain in our hearts. We will miss you and your witty sense of humour each and every day. Love you always.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the BC Cancer Agency and Burnaby Hospital Foundation. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 29, 2024 commencing 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish located at 555 Slocan Avenue, Vancouver. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
