Wai Sun Jung 鄭周慧新

It is with great sadness that the Jung family announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Wai Sun Jung (nee Chow) of Vancouver, BC. Wai Sun passed away on June 8th, 2023 at the age of 85 surrounded by the love of her family. Wai Sun was born in Hoy Ping, Guangdong, China on the 12th of April, 1938 and moved to Vancouver in 1956.

Wai Sun was predeceased by her husband Jack Foon, and survived by her children, Cherie (Felix Chiu), Jenny (Darrell Chambers), Cindy, Aileen, and Leslie (Debbie nee Soga); her grandchildren, Ellie Chambers, Jamie, Samantha and Mathieu; her sister, Sun Chin; her brothers, Yuen Sic (predeceased), Yuen Low, Yuen Ban, and their families.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at 9:30am at the Glenhaven Memorial Chapel (1835 E. Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC). Burial will follow at 12:00pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC).
