It is with heavy hearts and enormous sadness that our family announces the passing of Walter Christmann, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Walter passed away at the age of 88 with family by his side.
Walter is predeceased by his parents Paul & Marie, his sister Erika, and his brother Dieter. Walter will be greatly missed and forever in the hearts of his loving wife of 49 years, Joanne, his three children Paul ( Donna ); Diane ( Brook ); Elissa ( Jay ), his 5 grandchildren, his 3 great grandchildren, his sister Gerda, his cousin Reinhart, along with all of his extended family and friends.
Walter was born in Trakseden, Germany in 1937, his family immigrated to Canada in 1956 and settled In Vancouver Area in 1957. Walter was a devoted husband and family man, who will be remembered for his sharp intellect, gentle humor, and steadfast dedication to family. He touched the lives of so many with his warmth, kindness and generosity and left an indelible impression on everyone who knew him.
Though Walter has left us, his legacy will endure through his family and friends.
