Xian Mei Liu

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Xian Mei Liu, A beloved mom, popo, and taipo. She was a cherished friend to many, survived by her daughter, Joyce (William), her grandchildren, Benny, Carlynn, Warren (Kristen), and Nina (Raymond) and great grandchildren Kaylie and Kenzie. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Feng Ge Bu and sons Yan Feng Bu and Yan Qing Bu.

Mei was born in 1939 in Anhui, China. Mei had a very fulfilling career in business spanning decades. Her work and travels took her all over China and different parts of the world and some would consider her a pioneer of her time being a woman in power.

Mei's passions were numerous, with her family and friends being foremost among them. In her older age, Mei enjoyed celebrating milestones with her family and could often be found enjoying dim sum at one of her favorite restaurants, or taking a walk outdoors to enjoy the cherry blossoms. Those who knew Mei admired her sharp wit, positive nature, impeccable sense of style, and keen sense of humour. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her for the last 80 years.

A celebration of life for Mei will be held September 25th, at 10:30am at Mount Pleasant Universal Funeral Home.

我們懷著沉重的心情宣布我們親愛的母親、嫲嫲、婆婆和太婆劉先美已安然離世，留下了她的女兒 Joyce (William)，孫子 Benny、Carlynn、Warren (Kristen) 和 Nina (Raymond)，以及曾孫女 Kaylie 和 Kenzie。她的摯愛丈夫卜鳳閣和兒子卜彥峰和卜彥清先她而去。

劉先美於1939年出生在中國安徽蕭縣。她從商有道，生涯橫跨數十載，足跡遍踏中國以至世界各地。作為一位掌權的女性，她說得上是時代的先驅。

劉先美一生熱情無數，其中最重要的是她的家人和朋友。晚年她喜歡與家人一起慶祝重要時刻，在她喜愛的餐館享用點心，或者在戶外散步欣賞櫻花。認識她的人都欽佩她敏銳而滿有智慧，積極正面，並有着無可挑剔的品味和幽默感。每一位有幸在她八十年的人生中認識和愛她的人都將深深懷念她。
