Born in Hong Kong, Yim graduated from Guangzhou University (廣州大學)'s 36th graduating class (Hong Kong) with a Bachelor of Education (BEd). Subsequently, she established a meaningful 25-year teaching career at Saint Charles School (聖嘉祿學校). On January 22, 1967, she married Wing Lo (盧榮). Later, in 1988, Vancouver became her new home, where she found a welcoming place of worship at St. Francis Xavier Church.
Yim will be remembered as a wonderful, loving, warm, kind, selfless, and strong person, and she will be dearly missed.
Yim was predeceased by her parents, Man Wood Leung (梁敏活) and Ngan Ping Chan (陳銀屏), and her seventeen brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Wing Lo; two sons, Patrick Lo and Robert Lo; daughter-in-law, Jo Ma.
A private family service will be held.
We are forever grateful to the many doctors, nurses, and carers at St. Paul's Hospital (Vancouver), Royal Columbian Hospital (New Westminster), and Burnaby Hospital (Burnaby) for their compassionate care of Yim.
