what else can i say that hasn't already been said.  except that wang so was and still is a very generous loving mother and friend. we were in hk this year and she offered her apartment to us to use and asked for nothing in return.  she actually got annoy when we gave her some compensation in the form of a gift she returned it to us and said in a very stern voice "don't do it ever again" the chan family will miss her

When I think about Sahm So, I can only think of good things.  I was honored to have her as my sister-in-law for the last 38 years.  We always got along well and she treated me well even before Willie and I got married.  Sahm So was very energetic and hard working.  She was super capable of raising six kids and doing meticulous housekeeping.  She was a sharp shopper and a wonderful cook. She loved gardening and had a green thumb on flowers and vegetable gardens.  She was extremely generous in giving presents, entertaining and sharing her home grown vegetables and fruits. She had a passion for nature. She loved orchards.  Every year she couldn’t wait to go picking cherries, strawberries and blueberries.  Among her busy schedules, Sahm So was an avid traveler who had visited much of the world.  She was such a happy and free spirit that she had lived her life to the fullest every day.  Willie and I shall always cherish the fond memories.  Sahm so will always live in our hearts and prayers.

My heart go out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

I will always remember Bak Leung for her generosity and kindness; she was organizing get-togethers all the time and never hesitated to share her brilliant cooking with us.  Every time we visited, or even stayed over with her when we were coming from out of town, she was welcoming and made sure there was something to do, whether gathering everyone over for a meal or playing Chinese checkers with me.  She will be greatly missed.

My thoughts are with you at this time of loss.

I've always called  this woman "Wang So".  I feel that calling people by numbers is a bit impersonal. So, "Sahm So" will always be "Wang So" to me.  I met her in Hong Kong when I was 19, for I am one of her husband's younger sisters who was born in America.  I really felt welcomed in Hong Kong and I visited often after that first time and each time, she would offer either her time or home and definately take me out to eat things that I would never ever would have ever tried in America (cause we didn't have food like that there).  She had me try tiny abalone and she made a very good curry fish ball dish. So with her, my memories are connected to food and shopping for clothes.  She would take me on shopping sprees and let me get anything and one time she even took me and my mom on a week long trip to the Phillipines.  She definately was the "So" that knew how to show a "sister" like me a good time everytime I was in Hong Kong.  So when she immigrated to Vancouver, I was happy to visit her here too.  I was very honored to be able to attend her 70th birthday party here.  It was a real happy celebration for a really great woman.  It's a shame and saddens me a lot that this energetic, generous and lovely woman is no longer with us. I will miss her. I send her all my heartfelt thanks for being in my life.  I just wish it could have been for longer.Rest in peace.
