

Chris graduated from Williams College (Massachusetts) and joined the Air Force shortly thereafter. He served during the Korean conflict as a radar mechanic and company clerk. Using the GI bill, he earned his MBA at the Wharton School. Hired by Boeing, he worked in Renton until “the big layoff”. He and his wife, Margaret, opened a bookstore in Renton. In Renton, he was Chairman of the Civil Rights Commission, volunteered in the boy scouts and served as a Democratic Precinct person.
Upon retiring in 1996, the Wrights moved to Vancouver. He volunteered at FISH of Vancouver until his death and continued his hobbies of reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and rooting for the Mariners, Phillies and Seahawks.
Chris is survived by his wife of 62 year, Margaret (Marnie); children, Theresa Wright (Philip Hornik) of Portland and Peter (Gail) of Vancouver; grandchildren, Matthew Wright and Allison Wright Mantyla.
There will be a family memorial service in Seabeck this summer.
