Craig was born in San Pedro, CA on December 20, 1967. When Craig was 13 his family moved to South Bend, IN., where he attended St. Joseph High School. He was a gifted football player and attended the University of Dayton on a football scholarship. A knee injury ended his football career but he graduated Dayton with a B.S. in Economics and minor in Philosophy.
Following graduation he moved to Cleveland, OH where he began a 14-year career as a NASDAQ securities trader. Craig moved to Vancouver, WA in 2008 where he was in the process of starting a small business.
He leaves his loving partner, Kristin Hanneman, her son Alex Grisham, the entire Hanneman family; his mother Joyce Chisholm, brother Michael Spydell, and sister Lori Wagner.
Craig was a loving, giving and sensitive man, and he enjoyed doing things for others. He was a wonderful cook, loved to travel and play golf. He loved animals, especially his dog Aiko, who passed and his adopted dog Melei. He loved life, his beloved Kristin and his family. We miss you dearly Craig and will hold you in our hearts forever.
There will be a memorial service at 2pm Thursday, September 29th at St. John’s Lutheran church in Vancouver. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to “Family Dogs New Life.”
Arrangements under the direction of Vancouver Funeral Chapel, Vancouver, WA.
