Florence L. Martocello

Flo Martocello passed away on Saturday, 28 November 2015, at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. She was born in Vancouver on October 3, 1935, to Dempsey Richards and Eileen (Skov) Richards. She will be missed and survived by her children: Joan Martocello, Jim Martocello, daughter-in-law Kim Martocello, Kim’s children: Jon Worsman, April Worsman, sisters: Ethel Smith, Peggy Roberts, Judy Wilkerson, Ellen Bott, her devoted companion dog Ruby, grand dogs: Lefty, Maybelle, Diesel, Wynn. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Martocello.

Flo graduated from Vancouver High School, class of ’53. Within a couple of years she had enlisted in the Air Force and began a life of travel. She met husband John in Texas, they married in Italy, and teamed together to pursue his Air Force career. Flo kept busy working as a book keeper, riding herd over their children, loving her dogs, doing arts and crafts, and enjoying a powerful passion for genealogy. Once John retired, the family returned home to Vancouver. Flo was a long time member of the Clark County Genealogical Society and the Genealogical Forum of Oregon.
