

Lorence was raised in Proebstel, which is now part of Vancouver. He graduated from Evergreen High School. After high school he joined the National Guard and began his career at Pepsi Co., where he worked on the bottling line and eventually retired as a part of the transportation team.
December 25, 1951 Lorence married the love of his life, Mary. They started their family, eventually having three children. Lorence was a member of the American Legion Post #14, The Teamsters, and a volunteer with the Chelatchie Prairie Rail Road. He enjoyed the time he spend helping to restore the old rail road. He was the kind of guy who just could not sit still, he always needed something to do.
Lorence is survived by his children, Debbie (Jack) MacKinnon and Scott Graber; grandchildren, Michael MacKinnon, Kelsey MacKinnon and Justin Graber; great grandchildren, Marissa and Skylar. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary; and daughter, Lisa Graber.
A funeral service for Lorence will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 20th at the Vancouver Funeral Chapel, 110 E. 12th St., Vancouver, Washington 98660.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
