Arthur C. Markham

Arthur C. Markham died suddenly on Wednesday December 28, 2022 at the age of 64 while at home with his family. Art was married for 42 years to the love of his life, Sharon. Art was born on March 6, 1958, the son of Richard and Sandra Fuller, later Sandra Markham.

Art was known to all who loved him as a very caring and nurturing man. He had a wonderful sense of humor and you could never be sure what he would say next. There was never a dull moment in the presence of this larger than life man who loved life and lived it to its fullest.

Art enlisted in the US Army directly after High School and was very proud of being a veteran. He worked for 25 years for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME. He then went on to work for 15 years as a Contract Specialist for the purchasing department of Charlotte County, FL, retiring in April of 2021.

Art was the second oldest of 15 children between the two parents. Art is survived by his wife, Sharon Markham, two sons, Shawn Markham of Gonic, NH, and Tyler Markham of North Port, FL. Art was a very proud Papa to his two granddaughters, Amy-Lee Markham and Alezandra Markham. Art is also survived by brothers and sisters, Pamala Jones, Sheila Markham, Daniel Markham, Chauncey Markham, Steven Markham, Matthew Markham, Sandra Markham, Kim Fuller, Kevin Fuller, Karen Richards, Keith Fuller, Kenneth Fuller, and Kris Fuller. Art was predeceased by his parents, Richard Fuller and Sandra Markham as well as a brother, Stuart Markham.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Art at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center on Tuesday January 3, 2023 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm. Please feel free to attend and you are encouraged to tell any funny Art stories for all to enjoy.
