Bruce was born in 1944 in Brooklyn, New York. He spent his childhood delivering newspapers and playing stickball in the streets. After completing high school and holding various jobs, he secured a position as a dispatcher at Eastern Airlines, and eventually FedEx. This unique career opened up the opportunity to travel the world, igniting his passion for travel and adventure.
Bruce and Lois’s paths crossed at Kennedy Airport, where they fell in love, got married, and embarked on a lifelong adventure together. Before starting their family, they journeyed around the globe—discovering New Zealand and skiing in the high altitudes of Norway. The slopes were open for only a few hours each day, presenting a rugged experience not suited for the faint-hearted. We also explored the West, continuously in search of new landscapes and unforgettable memories.
As a family, we embraced the spirit of adventure together. We skied in Crested Butte, went whitewater rafting in Colorado, and undertook a multi-day canoe trip in Maine. A memorable family trip to Costa Rica brought even more cherished experiences—Bruce and Brian set off on a fishing expedition, while Lois and Carrie enjoyed exploring the tranquil countryside on gentle horses.
Throughout it all, one thing remained a constant: Bruce always prioritized his family and friends. Relishing new friendships, these bonds became a very important part of his story. The bond with his friends in the Airlines lasted more than 30 years. Moving into retirement brought him to his beloved Englewood FL. His days in Englewood were
filled with pursuing his passion for fishing and being on the water and developing beautiful new friendships. His love, stability, and adventurous spirit created a life filled with joy and meaningful connections.
Bruce is survived by his wife Lois and two children, Brian and Carrie.
