

Donald was a beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather who loved his family very much. As a devout Catholic, he always put God and family first. Donald had a great sense of humor and lit up a room with his bright smile. He will truly be missed.
Donald was born on Mother’s Day, May 11, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, to Harry and Madeline Masse.
Donald graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1952 and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aviator.
On December 1, 1956, Donald married the love of his life, Catherine D’Amato. Don and Kay were inseparable for the 62 years of their married life.
Four children later and after retiring from the Navy, Don started his teaching career in the Fall of 1972 and later became the Safety Director for the Ysleta School District in El Paso. Don retired in 1995 and he and Kay traveled the world together
Don was preceded in death by his wife Catherine, his parents, Harry and Madeline Masse, and his sister, Claire O’Brien.
Don is survived by his children, Patrick Masse (Lorri); Theresa Napier (Steven); John Masse; Jean Timmins (Martin), and 10 grandchildren; Andrew, Madelyn, Jacquelyn, Caitlin, Marilyn, Michael, Zachary, Joseph, Emma, and Claire.
