

Elliott Stevens passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on February 25, 2025. Elliott was born in Roscoe, NY on August 12, 1939 to G. Elliott Stevens and Grace Annis Stevens. He was the youngest of five, with older brothers Richard and Norman and sisters Marilyn and Eleanor. Elliott attended schools in Pittsford, VT, while living on the family farm on Stevens Road in Pittsford.
Elliott began a career at Metromail in February 1963 and worked there until 2005. He began as a stockboy and worked his way up to a production manager. He was a valuable and steady presence in the production department through many changes in the company. Because of his importance to the company, he consulted with them after his retirement until his “final” retirement in May of 2007. Elliott also spent two years in the Army National Guard, 16 months on active duty. He was honorably discharged. Elliott also spent many dedicated years volunteering for the local United Way.
Elliott married Elizabeth Stevens on July 10, 1965 at Good Shephard Lutheran Church. They have two sons, Keith and Scott. Elliott set an example of hard work and dedication for his sons and did all he could to support them in every way throughout their lives.
Elliott was a passionate golfer and a long time member of Rutland Country Club. He enjoyed his summertime at the camp on Lake Bomoseen and his winters at his home in Englewood, FL. Elliott was also a dedicated member of the Elks Club. He was a passionate sports fan, following most Boston teams, the New York Giants, and his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes.
The light of Elliott’s life was his two grandchildren, Michael and Emma. He could be found all across the northeast supporting them at any event and cherished any time he could spend with them.
Elliott was predeceased by his parents and siblings and his beloved daughter-in-law Linda Stevens Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth, his sons Keith Stevens of Antioch, TN, and Scott (Diane) Stevens of Lanesborough, MA, grandchildren Michael and Emma Stevens of Lanesborough, sister-in-law Stella Stevens, brother-in-law Hugh Rawson, brother and sister-in-law John and Sandra Mazzariello, brother and sister-in-law John and Karen Larsen, and many nieces and nephews.
A small memorial service is scheduled for Sunday March 2 at 2:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church in Englewood, FL. A funeral service will be held in the spring in Rutland, VT with burial at Evergreen Cemetery
