Esther Irene Rose

Beloved wife and mother passed peacefully in her sleep on October 23, 2022 after being evacuated before Hurricane Ian to Naples, Fla.

Born July 1939 in Brockton, MA. She was the daughter of Lawrence Sargent and Marjorie (Parmenter) Godsoe of Rockland, MA.

In 1954 she married the love of her life, Joseph "Junior" Rose Jr of Bridgewater, MA and together they had 4 sons - Michael, Kevin, Joseph and Daren.

in 1978 after the unexpected passing of her young husband, Joseph "Junior", she raised her 4 sons at the Hale Street, Bridgewater homestead and made a promise to Joe that all 4 sons would graduate from high school. That promise was fulfilled with each son graduating and one son (Kevin) obtaining a college degree in Culinary Cooking and one son (Daren) having his own Trucking Company. Esther was very proud of each son's accomplishments.

She was a hardworking woman who met life head on working first as a homemaker then at Components Manufacturing (West Bridgewater, MA) then in the Cafeteria at Bridgewater State College before breaking her back and becoming a self-employed Clothing Demonstrator for Dutchmaid Clothing and also working for a time at Goodman Knitting (Brockton, MA). Esther loved Disney and would make many memories on trips with family to the Greatest Place On Earth. She also loved going to the Casino and Cruises on trips with friends and family. Esther was also known for her delicious homemade cupcakes with mouthwatering frosting that turned into a side business to support her boys

Esther is survived by her son Daren Rose and his wife Victoria (Palch-Ryan) of Englewood, Florida; Special niece Kimberly Goulet of Maine; a distant grandson and great-grandson and a lifelong friendship of over 70 years with Joan Heffernan of East Bridgewater, MA and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents (Lawrence and Marjorie), her husband (Joseph "Junior"), 3 sons - Michael, Kevin and Joseph, all of Bridgewater, MA and 2 brothers - Lawrence " Larry" Sargent and Robert "Bob" Sargent, both of Florida.

Burial will be in the family plot at the Pinehill Cemetery in West Bridgewater, MA
