

She was born on September 29, 1931, in Leelanau County, Michigan to William and Florence (Wisner) Gohm and lived her early years in Saginaw, Michigan where she graduated from Arthur Hill High School.
Evelyn met the love of her life, William “Bill” Fickel, and they married in 1951. Over their working years of Bill’s employment with MetLife, the family moved to several cities in Michigan, Bronx, New York and New Canaan, Connecticut.
She enjoyed an active retirement at her Florida home and summer home on Old Mission Peninsula, Traverse City, Michigan. In addition to enjoying traveling and cruises, she also liked golfing, fishing and other sports.
Evelyn was a sweet, caring and loving person. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an active and faithful member of Christ Church in Venice, Florida.
Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Bill; her parents, Bill and Florence Gohm; her brother, Billy Gohm; and her sisters Gerry (Gohm) Arnsheck and Lois (Gohm) Crites.
Evelyn is survived by her three daughters: Karen Forcellina (Robert Sr.), Norwalk, CT; Kathy Garziano (Jud), Fancy Gap, VA; and Sandy Steigler (Richard), Bel Air, MD. Grandchildren: Robert Forcellina, Jr. (Kaitlin), Lancaster, South Carolina; Marc Forcellina (Cassidy), Norwalk, CT; Justin Sieviec (Sydney), Elkin, NC; Cori Sieviec, Radford, VA; Ashley (Steigler) Riehl (David), Bel Air, MD; Christopher Steigler, Bridgeport, CT; and Hannah Steigler, San Diego, CA. Great Grandchildren: David T. Riehl, III, Olivia Riehl, Owen Riehl and William Riehl; Connor Forcellina; Genevieve Sieviec; Rae Forcellina and Rylee Forcellina.
Evelyn dearly loved her God, her husband, Bill and her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
