Howard MacFarland Jr.

Bud was born on December 19, 1938 in Haverford, Pennsylvania, to Lorraine (nee Dahis) and Howard MacFarland Sr. and was a proud resident of Rotonda West, Florida for the past 29 years.

He was a graduate of Haverford High School class of ’56 and attended Delaware County Community College. He also served in the US Air Force and US Coast Guard.

Bud’s career in the insurance industry spanned 50 plus years working for United Insurance Company of America until he retired to Rotonda West, Florida in 1996. Having enjoyed many visits with his family every year exploring the sights of Florida, swimming and spending time with friends at the Rotonda Elks Club.

Bud is survived by his wife Barbara M. MacFarland (nee Hughes) and daughters, Nancy (Charlie) Lake, East Norriton Pennsylvania and Janet Glovach Paoli, Pennsylvania, stepsons, David and Scott Hilliard, Boston, Massachusetts, brother Richard (Susan) MacFarland of Toms River, New Jersey and sister, Linda (John) Letts of Macungie Pennsylvania, along with 13 grandchildren, 5 great children, nieces and nephews.

Bud was precedded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife Sally A. MacFarland (nee Sheller) and daughter, Patricia A. Foxhill and sister Lorraine Janick.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
