

James David Frondorf, 90, of Venice, FL passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 after many years with cancer. James was born on November 9, 1932, to the late Louis and Pauline Frondorf in Gadsden Alabama. He was raised along with his sister, Caroline and brother, Bill who both preceded him in death.
He attended Hueytown High School, graduating in 1952. James (Jim) joined the Army and was stationed at Ft. Devens in Ayer, Massachusetts. During his military service he met, and married his loving wife, Joan. They were married 64 years. James and Joan raised three daughters in Framingham, MA. He began his work career at Raytheon, then worked for BTU Engineering, before starting his own Home Improvement business. James developed relationships with many wonderful neighbors and friends.
He was a man with many talents and always loved offering a helping hand. He enjoyed watching his favorite football teams, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and New England Patriots. James and his late wife Joan both loved gardening in Florida and New England. They enjoyed their seasonal camping trips to Mayo Farm in Center Harbor, NH; cherishing their friends and the time spent with them.
They enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts together wherever they were.
Family was important to James. He and Joan loved being involved in the lives of their grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Lynne (Chuck) DeWolfe of Bellingham, MA; Brenda Carreira of Venice, FL; and Judith Frondorf of Venice, FL; Grandchildren Courtney (Dan) Harrington of Bridgewater, MA; Charlie DeWolfe of Providence, RI; Jimmy (Cait) Brown of Foxboro, MA; Jessica Dean of Framingham, MA; Craig Carreira of Foxboro, MA; and Austin Dean of Framingham, MA. Great Grandchildren Sadie, Stella, and Scarlett Brown; Gavin and Morgan Perette, and Camden Harrington; As well as many Nieces, Nephews, and extended family in Missouri.
A celebration of Life for both James and Joan will be held at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, Venice, FL at a later date. Burial will follow at the Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL.
