

John (Jack) Enos of Englewood, Florida, formerly of the South Coast of Massachusetts, was born April 5th, 1925, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Theresa (Phelan) Enos and John F. Enos Sr.
After serving as a radio operator in the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater during WWII, Jack returned to Boston, where he married his high school sweetheart, Barbra McGowan. Before retiring to Florida, he worked for the New Haven Railroad and the New England Telephone Company.
Jack enjoyed hosting get-togethers with his family and loved ones and participating in parish life at St. Raphael’s Parish.
Jack is survived by his sister Alice Pollock of Mansfield, his five children with Barbara: John Enos III (Jane) of Plymouth, Ma., Deborah Larson of Wareham, Ma., Thomas Enos (Neu) of Englewood, Fl., Lori Enos (Joe Fellows) of Sandwich, and Russell Enos (Fernanda) of Port Charlotte, Fl., 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Jack was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; his siblings, James Enos, Frederick Enos, Mary Butler, and Cathy Markowitz; his granddaughter, Sharon Lowcock; and his wife, Edith Fontaine Enos.
Visiting hours will be held at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 1935 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, Florida, on Wednesday, May 7th, from 6 pm to 8 pm. A funeral will be held at St. Raphael Church on Thursday, May 8th, at 10am.
