Linda Rosso DeCoster, a dedicated educator and beloved matriarch, passed away in Englewood, Florida on February 7, 2026. Born and raised in Paramus, New Jersey, March 8, 1948, Linda began her lifelong career in education teaching in her home state before relocating to Florida in 1987.
Shortly after her move, Linda met the love of her life, Dennis, while he was working as a boat Captain at the Holiday Inn. They shared 36 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with family and sunshine.
Linda’s passion for teaching touched generations of students at Vineland Elementary School where she taught for 24 years. Her commitment to her classroom was matched only by her devotion to her family.
Linda was predeceased by Arnie and Paul Rosso, as well as Dave and Dale DeCoster.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis DeCoster; daughters, Tracey Huie and Tammy Hoss; sons, Darren and Dale DeCoster; Grandchildren, Zach, Peyton, Ashlyn and Gracyn Huie, Dillon and Donovan DeCoster and Riley Edwards and sister-in-law, Denise DeCoster.
Linda will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her love of the Florida coast and the lasting impact she made on the Englewood Community.
