

Lucille L. Conroy of Rotonda West, Florida passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, after a brief illness. She was 88 years of age. She was born on March 22, 1936 to the late George and Blanche (DuPont) Halbardier in Fall River, Massachusetts. She attended Durfee High School, graduating in 1955 and moved to Warwick, Rhode Island after marrying the love of her life, Tom. She lived in Florida for the past 26 years.
Lucille was the widow of the late Thomas P. Conroy Jr., Captain, (Rtd), City of Warwick, Rhode Island Police Department. She was a retired employee of the State of Rhode Island after having worked as the Executive Assistant to the Director of the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy for over 25 years.
Lucille is survived by her four children, Denise (Patrick) Dryzga of Scarborough, Maine, Skip (Karen) Conroy of Rotonda West, Florida, Kelly (John) Falkowski of Warwick, Rhode Island and Todd (Sarah) Conroy of Las Vagas, Nevada. She is also survived by her brother Ronald (Carolyn) Halbardier of Westport, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her brother George Halbardier Jr. and son Timothy Patrick. Lucille had many Grand Children, Kylie, Kevin, Erin, Ryan, John, Ashley and Tarah as well as Great Grandchildren, Ellie, Theo, Zayleigh, Armani and Connor.
Lucille will be fondly remembered for her 4th of July backyard New England Clambakes, her love of playing cards and sharing Sunday dinner with family.
Burial will be private at the Sarasota National Veterans Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Tidwell Hospice House, Veronica St., Port Charlotte, Florida and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
