

Nicholas Cianflone, 74, passed away peacefully at Englewood Hospice House in Englewood, Florida on January 30, 2022. Nick, or Big Nick as he was known to many, was originally from the Bronx in New York City and spent most of his adult life in Toms River before moving to Englewood in 2015 with his dear wife, Susan, of 51 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy and previously owned a furniture business. He was an avid lover of the ocean and enjoyed surfing, sailing, boating, scuba diving, and fishing. In NJ, he was involved in a youth sailing school. In Florida, he played in the Englewood Senior Softball League. In addition to his wife, Nick is survived by his three sons: John Cianflone and wife Kimberly Gronemeyer of Tampa, FL; Nicholas Cianflone, Jr. and wife Gina of Toms River; and Antonio Cianflone of Toms River as well as his beloved twin granddaughters, Madeline and Catherine.
Although no formal memorial services are planned, a paddle out will be scheduled at a later date in N.J.
