

Ruth Helen Williams was born on March 15, 1940 to Dr. Allan N. and Helen Williams at Luverne, Minnesota. Her father was a Pastor and moved the family to churches he served in Luverne, Minnesota, Safford, Arizona, Lakewood, Colorado and Rockford, Illinois.
Ruth graduated from Rockford High School and went on for her nurses training at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois.
In January 1961 she started attending Northwestern College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. where, she met Kenneth N. Lindow. The two were married on July 1, 1961 by Ruth’s dad at the First Baptist Church in Rockford, Illinois.
Ruth received her nursing license in Minnesota and worked as a nurse to help support them in many areas where they ministered together as a team. Their five children were born in California and Colorado during which time she gave herself to caring for them, along with her essential roles in the churches where they ministered. She played the organ and piano and worked with children’s ministries and Bible camps along with other responsibilities in the various ministries..
They served churches in Wisconsin, California, Colorado, Florida and Pennsylvania. From 1984 until 2014 she did private duty nursing in homes.
Ruth Helen Lindow passed away peacefully on January 18, 2021. Services will be held, with attendance limited to family and close friends, at First Baptist Church, Boca Grande, Florida. Burial will be in the Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood, Florida.
She leaves behind, at least for the present, her husband Kenneth, her son Edward who lives in Sierra Vista, Arizona, a daughter, Ruth DeLange in Rossville, Georgia, a daughter, Serena Sabin in White House, Tennessee, a son, Ken Jr. , a Pastor in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, a son Jonathan in Spartanburg, South Carolina, nine grandchildren, 3 Sisters: Mary, Liz, and Lois and a brother Allan.
