Samuel was a U.S. Army veteran, honorably discharged in 1953.
Before moving to Englewood, Samuel retired from a career working for General Motors in Flint, Michigan.
He enjoyed raising Monarch Butterflies, and loved hunting, fishing, and traveling back and forth to Michigan for fall color tours.
Most of all, Samuel loved Jesus and participating in church activities including singing in the choir.
Samuel is predeceased by his mother, father and siblings.
He is survived by his wife of seven years, Gloria Candela; his daughter from a previous marriage, Corinne; stepsons, Matt and Eric; stepdaughters, Jamie and Kim; grandchildren, Brayden, William, and Aubree; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation and funeral for Samuel will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, with the visitation being at 1:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00 PM at Gulf Pines Memorial Park, 2401 Englewood Rd, Englewood, FL 34223.
