

Bill graduated from Wayne Central High School in 1955 and enlisted in the Marines. He then went on to work as a Meat Manager for Wegmans Food Markets in Rochester, NY for 35 years. Upon retirement, Bill and his wife, Joan, moved to Englewood, Florida, where he resided for 34 years.
Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. Upon retirement, he played Bingo and golf, and he loved to travel. Bill and Joan had the good fortune to share over 80 cruises, from Alaska to Hawaii, to Italy, and places in between. He even had the opportunity to play in a casino in Monte Carlo!
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Joan, his son Brian (Alison) Schenk and daughter Julie (Ronald) LaDeau. He leaves his brother Gordon Schenk, Jr. and his sister Roberta Douglas, daughter-in-law Patti Schenk and sisters-in-law Sandee Schenk, Janice Schenk, Kathleen Mitchell and Barbara (Robert) Cole. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and was so proud of his 14 great-grandchildren. He is fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Schenk, son Barry Schenk, brothers George and John Schenk, brother-in-law Donald Douglas, and his granddaughter Averie LaDeau.
