Alice Marie Allen

Alice Marie Allen, 67, of Ventura passed away suddenly April 30, 2015. She was born August 11, 1947, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Leroy and Dorothy Crocker. She grew up in Iowa where she met her husband of 30 years, Everett Allen. They were married and moved to California in 1967, where they raised their five children.

Alice enjoyed knitting, spending time with her grandchildren, and was forever a fan of Elvis Presley. Alice was strong and devoted in her Christian faith and was a member of Frist Lutheran Church for thirty-five years, worshipping every Sunday with her friends and family.

Alice is survived by her sister Betty Hartwich of Davenport, Iowa; daughters and sons-in-law, Stephnie and Brian Toohey of Ventura, Kathleen and David Brown of Hesperia, Karen and Craig Oswald of Oak View; sons, Steven Allen of Oxnard, and Kevin Allen of Victorville; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Allen, parents, Leroy and Dorothy Crocker and sister, Amanda Douglas.

Funeral services and celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015, Noon, at the First Lutheran Church, 78 Chrisman Avenue, Ventura. Burial will take place, Tuesday, May 12, 2015, 11:30 A.M. at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside.
