

Beryl was born July 12, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois, to Hugh Macmillan and Alta Bernice Wood.
Beryl graduated from Ventura High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Whittier College. She and James Hunter married and resided in Ventura where he was a family practice physician for many years. Dr. Hunter preceded Beryl in death in 1990.
Beryl was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Ventura, PEO Sisterhood Chapter IU, and the Poinsettia Club of Ventura County. For a number of years Beryl was a Docent at the Ventura County Museum teaching children the history of Ventura.
She is survived by her daughters, Camille Hunter of Ventura and Claudia Scott of Santa Barbara; son, Keith Hunter of Sedona, Arizona; grandchildren, Elizabeth Scott, Robin DiBiase, Jeff Hunter and Ben Hunter; great grandchildren, Elliot Hiefield, Taylor Hiefield, Joseph DiBiase, Adelaide DiBiase, Isabel Hunter and Max Hunter.
Memorial services will be held on a future date at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Ventura, with The Reverend Susan Bek officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura.
