Betty Lee Jue

Betty Lee Jue passed away peacefully on June 8, 2011, in Ventura, California at age 92. She was born in Canton, China, January 23, 1919. Betty married Walton Jue, local grocer several years after his wife, Mary Jue passed at a young 54 years of age.

Betty (Mrs. Jue) came to America shortly and joined the family working in the market on East Main Street in Ventura. She loved America and the Ventura Community as her adopted home.

Betty loved family life and enjoyed growing hollyhocks on her hillside yard. On Sundays she cooked dinner for any of the Jue siblings that would be in town that day. Each Christmas at least 60 family members would gather for dinner which delighted her immensely. She leaves Walton’s sons and daughters, Gene, Dorothy, Allen, Daisy, Edward and Jeanne. She was preceded in death by Walton’s daughter, May. She leaves many nieces and nephews, Debbie, Kathy and Eric to name a few. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Friday, June 17th, 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.

Services will be Saturday, June 18, 11:00 A.M. also at Ted Mayr Funeral Home,

Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
