Betty Lou Timms

Longtime Ojai resident, Betty Lou Timms, 86, passed away peacefully following a long struggle with health issues on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, with her loving husband Donald and all five loving children, Don Jr, Kathy, Linda, Sharon and Donna by her side. She had a wonderful and full long healthy life.

Betty was born in Grand Valley, Colorado, on January 23, 1931 to Walter and Victoria (Parkhurst) Pritchard. She graduated from Nordhoff High School and married her high school sweetheart, Donald Glenn Timms.

She enjoyed and loved to crochet. Her true joy was being surrounded by her husband, Donald and her family.

She is survived by husband of 67 years, Donald Glenn Timms, Sr.; children, Donna and Bud Thorpe of Kingman, Arizona, Linda and James Hurt of Paradise, California, Sharon Tapia and Don Brown of Auburn, California, Donald Timms, Jr., of Ojai, Kathy and Brian Savage of Las Vegas, Nevada; 12 grandchildren, Frankie Tapia (Brooke), Elizabeth Lopez (Vincent) and Kristi Mowry (Kyle) all of Auburn, California, Rebecca, Kayla, and Trevor Johnson all of Las Vegas, Nevada, Randi Deason of Ojai, Staci Lasby of Paradise, California, Allison Thorpe Sedlak (Mike) of Red Bluff, California, Ashley Barger (Dave) of Ventura, Leslie Sanchez (Keno) of Yerington, Nevada and Jennifer Chrisman (Kevin) of Ojai; sisters, Ramona Amundsen and Ruth Berg both of Ojai.

A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017, 1:00 pm, at Holy Cross Church, 1212 Maricopa Highway, in Ojai.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HELP of Ojai.
