On Wednesday, November 10, 2010, Heaven welcomed a new angel — Charlotte Huling. She was born in Council Grove, Kansas, on January 15, 1927. She met and married the love of her life, Dr. Maurice Huling, in Lawrence, Kansas. In 1965, Charlotte and Maurice put their three boys in a Plymouth Valiant and drove the family across the country to Ventura where she has resided with her family ever since.
Charlotte dedicated her life to raising her family and loving her husband. She was also a dedicated lover of cats.
Charlotte was a true angel on earth and never said a bad thing to anyone unless the Lakers lost. She could discuss in detail the games and players with the best of fans.
She had the most gracious soul and her love for all will be deeply missed. Anyone who ever met her will agree she was the sweetest, most kind woman ever to grace the presence of whom all she met.
Charlotte is survived by sons Paul, Mark, and John Huling; her grandsons, Ian Huling and Jesse Lee; former daughter in law, Jann Harter Huling and her brother Henry Jones. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Maurice Huling, her grandson, Tyler Huling, and daughter in law, CeCe Huling.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Vitas Hospice and Victoria Care Center in Ventura.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 14th, 12:00 P.M., at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd, Ventura, 805-643-9977.
