Dana Lee Eaton

Dana "Pops" Eaton went to be with his God and Creator on March 3, 2018. Born in Ventura, December 1, 1955.

When you're born and raised in Ventura, you grow up surfing and fishing. My faith was very important to me. I enjoyed my ordainment; blessed with many weddings and celebrations! I worked at many places; one I remember fondly was Ted Mayr Funeral Home. In my final years, I worked for VUSD and loved each kid that passed through the halls. I believe I packed in a whole lot of living in my 62 years!

I had a couple of hobbies that I enjoyed. The Colorado River was mine, borrowed by others. My love for fishing, hunting, and rides on my Harley were just a few of the things I enjoyed. My most treasured blessing was my love for my family: my sons Michael (Jenny), and Wes and my miracle, and trusted sweetheart Lyssa Colitti and her kids Stephanie and Patrick Bower. There are many more that I cherish: my grandsons: Tristan and Maverick. My sisters, Debbie Johnston (Ron), Donna Burns (Dave) my nieces and nephew, Jeff (had to include Jeff - I'm his favorite uncle! ), Donna, and Meredith. I have too many trusted friends to name, but you know I love you.

A few things need to be said. Love is where this is headed. Love one another. Don't wait. Make sure your loved ones know how much you love them. Laugh, love, and be happy. When your feet touch the floor every day, thank God. I learned to trust. And... “Make it a great day, or not. The choice is yours. "

The funeral Mass for Dana will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Ventura, CA. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Foothill Technology High School.
