

Dora Shields, 81, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 at home in Oxnard after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 30, 1928 in Brownwood, Texas to Fred and Mary Cupp. She was a resident of Ventura County for 59 years.
She was retired, having worked for 3M for 15 years in various capacities.
She was a former member of the Ventura Bird Club and at one time was active in raising exotic birds.
Dora was preceded in death by her son Frank Cleveland and grandson Christopher Cleveland.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Shields; children, Nona Bell Rother and husband Larry of Crestview, Oregon, Jim Watson and wife Judy of Bakersfield, California and Terry Shields of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Charlie Calahan, Steven Hauzer, Allen Williams and wife Agata, Cindy Calahan, Kelly Watson and wife Cindy, Ricki Watson ad Daniel Cleveland and 21 great-grandchildren.
Dora was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was a member of the Bethany Chapel where a Service of Remembrance will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2010. The address is 1076 Stroube St., El Rio.
