Dwayne Lee Zukowski

Dwayne Lee Zukowski, 76, died Monday, February 17, 2014, following a sudden heart attack. He was born March 21, 1937, in Van Nuys, CA and was raised in the San Fernando Valley. Dwayne and his family moved to Ventura in 1967.

He had many varied occupations in his lifetime, but truly loved working as a landscape designer. Dwayne was a true outdoorsman that loved to go on camping adventures in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and fish in the streams and lakes. He was an outstanding fisherman. Dwayne also enjoyed golfing and traveling to Mexico, Alaska and Canada.

Dwayne was a loving husband, father and good friend to many.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Susan; daughter, Karen of Ventura; brothers, Gerald Zukowski of Palm Springs, CA, James Henke of Brea, CA and Tom Porter of Springfield, OR; sister, Judy Brady of Pollock Pines, CA.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road in Ventura on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 1:00 P.M. with the Reverend Jonathan Mulford officiating. Donations can be made to Help Of Ojai 111. W. Santa Ana Street, Ojai, CA. 93024
