Erin Sheila Duffy Folks, “Wild Child and Beauty Queen,” was born in Rochester, New York, on November 18, 1955, and liked to remind people of her “up state” heritage. She passed away in Ventura, California, on July 7, 2017.
Born to Elizabeth and Fred Duffy, she was preceded in death by both parents and her brother Thomas. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jeffrey; son, Dallas; daughter, Taylor; daughter-in-law, Tamara DaSilva; and grandchildren, Mikayla, Keston, Tavin, Lowell and Paloma.
She was well known for her creativity and generosity, and Erin touched many lives with her bright spirit and irrepressible zest for life. Whether she was painting, baking, singing or dancing, she tried to make sure that everyone was well fed and happy. Erin travelled the world and made friends everywhere she went, and always enjoyed being the life of the party.
We will miss her every day, and welcome friends and family to come celebrate her life at her home on Dalton Street, in Ventura on Saturday, July 15, 2017, in the afternoon. There will also be another memorial for her in Santa Barbara in September.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, CA 93003. Condolences may be sent to TedMayrFuneralHome.com.
