Mrs. Livingston was born May 17, 1927.
Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, and part of the Brighton Beach crowd, Flo Livingston was a gifted student, graduating from high school at 16 years old. She was an early proponent of women’s rights, lover of the arts and a voracious reader. She met the love of her life Harold and was married in 1948.
She is survived by her adoring family: sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Lynne of Ventura and Dennis and Mary of Hillsborough, CA; daughter Faye of Malibu; five grandchildren, Kevin, Sara, Mark, Rachel and Samantha; a great grandson, Chase; and a large extended family.
Part of the Greatest Generation, Flo was one of first women to work in the aerospace/electronics industry.
Flo was an active member of Temple Beth Torah. She became a Bat Mitzvah at the age of 80 and was confirmed two years later.
Her zest for life, compassion for others, dedication to lifelong learning—and her chopped liver—will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Livingston Memorial Hospice or Adult Education at Temple Beth Torah.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 1, at 10 am at Temple Beth Torah, 7620 Foothill Rd., Ventura.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Condolences may be sent the TedMayrFuneralHome.com.
